Law on cloud nine after latest victory
The Stevie McGuire-coached southpaw, who hails from Kelty, was roared on by a vociferous contingent from Fife as he claimed a classy 80-72 points win in his first eight-round bout.

“I wasn’t really sure what to expect but I did what I thought I needed to do, and the game plan worked.
“There’s a lot of positives to take from it, and a lot of things I’ll learn from.”
The fight was a step up in class for Connor but he controlled it from start to finish.

Law was on the undercard as Prestonpans fighter Josh Taylor secured the Commonwealth super-lightweight title by defeating Dave Ryan - now the Fifer is closing in on his own title shot.
“I’m not diving into anything silly,” he said. “I could’ve went into a 10-round title fight on Friday and not know what would happen, but we’re taking it slow and patient.”
