Rise in coronavirus cases in hospital in Fife

The total number of positive cases in Fife has risen by 19, with 561 in Fife, up from 542 yesterday.

There are currently 138 people in hospital with the virus, a rise of 18 since yesterday.

Six of those are in intensive care.

To date, 41,699 people in Scotland have been tested. Of these 8,672 were positive.

It was revealed on Wednesday that the number of coronavirus deaths in Fife has tripled in the space of a week.

46 people are now known to have died, up from 15 the previous week, according to the Scottish Government figures released.

The figures go upto Sunday, April 12, and show that across Scotland 962 who have died have had covid19 mentioned on their death certificate.

The number of people who have died in Scotland is being updated each Wednesday.
