Green light for Fife village development
Plans to build 36 homes, a shop, play area, recycling centre, footpath links, community woodland and landscaping in Drumoig were submitted by Drumoig Developments in July.
The development will be split into four phases.
The removal of the Scottish National Golf Centre, area which will be used for retail and leisure, is earmarked for phase one, along with the development of a play area and a temporary local shop.

Hide AdPhase two would see the development of the leisure facilities, including a cafe and permanent shop, and phase three the construction of a public art feature.
Phase four is focused on the improvement of the hotel.
A previous application had been refused by members of the North East Fife Planning Committee in 2015, with “overdevelopment of the site” being given as the reason.
However, the decision was appealed by the developer, which the Reporter allowed, and planning permission in principle was granted in December 2016.
