Police are probing reports of cannabis growing in a property in Kirkcaldy town centre.

Officers were called to premises in the High Street area on Wednesday afternoon.

No details have been released, other than a statement which said inquiries were on-going.

There was widespread comment on special media, and pictures from the scene of police activity.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “Around 2.25pm on Wednesday, officers received a report of a cannabis cultivation within a premises on High Street in Kirkcaldy.

“Inquiries are ongoing.”
