A Methil man who admitted sending offensive messages to his former partner has been ordered to carry out a Community Payback Order.

Alan Carr (35), of Simon Crescent, appeared before Sheriff Jamie Gilchrist at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Thursday.

He was also made subject to a non-harrassment order for two years preventing him from approaching or contacting his former partner.

Carr admitted on August 25 this year he sent social media messages to his former partner that were grossly offensive, or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character.
