A man has been arrested an incident which saw armed police on the streets of Kirkcaldy.

A heavy police presence had been focused in the Link Town area, with officers on Alison Street and the surrounding area this afternoon.

Officers have now confirmed that a man has been arrested after “a disturbance”.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We can confirm that an 24-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a disturbance on Alison Street, Kirkcaldy around 2.10pm on Tuesday 14 April, 2020.

“Nobody was injured as a result of this incident and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
